Kelsey Burke

E-RYT 500

Kelsey is a yoga practitioner and woman of many hats with roots in the Midwest, drawn to the South by one of the very same things that attracted her to the practice of Tantra Yoga- its radical slowness. Fifteen years into practice and study, Kelsey continues to experience profound transformation through the embodiment of these ancient teachings, and is passionate about sharing this transformative path with others..

“I believe that Yoga is an experience; a way of being; a courageous journey that asks us to move towards discomfort rather than away; a practice of getting into our lives rather than escaping them. I believe that Yoga is a living practice which seeks to call back the pieces of ourselves we have systematically abandoned. Yoga, as a physical practice, is a gateway to experiencing the fullness of who we are, and it is only the beginning.”

Rachel Durben

E-RYT 500

Since an introduction to Sivananda Yoga in college, Rachel has been exploring the depths of personal practice, eventually journeying into the Costa Rican jungle to complete her first teacher training in 2015. Seeking a community closer to home, she found Vira Bhava Yoga and received her 500-hour certification in 2018.

Rachel has been teaching since 2014 and finds the greatest fulfillment in creating connections with the natural world and bringing people into relationship with their own innate wisdom. Her teaching unites mindful movement and personal inquiry, promoting a practice that allows students to become their own teachers. She believes that the pathway to wholeness comes through integrating the complexities of our human experience and remembering our interdependence with all beings.
